How Around Me & Where I Am Now works

Where I Am Now

When you are out, identify nearby real-world places ordered by proximity. Choose the location you are visiting, save it, or log it in Visit History.

Around Me: your own collection on a map

Explore saved places geographically in My Places rather than scrolling through every list. Open a place card to see details and use the directions option when you decide to go.

Optional nearby reminders

In Settings, opt in to a quiet reminder when you open PTK near a place you have kept. This is an in-app option, not continuous background tracking or push notifications.

Get started in PTK

Allow location access if you want location-aware results.
Use Where I Am Now for businesses near you, or Around Me for places already saved.
Open a place, start directions, or log your visit.

Nearby results require device location permission; some workflows also allow city-based search instead.

Common questions

Can PTK show the places I saved near my current location?

Yes. Around Me maps saved places. Where I Am Now shows nearby real-world locations so you can choose a place to keep or log a visit.

Does PTK track my location continuously?

The optional nearby-place reminder operates when you open the app, rather than continuously tracking you in the background. Location features require the relevant permission.
