Places to Keep

P7 · PLACES YOU HAVE BEEN

Keep a private diary of restaurants and places you visited

A list of favorite places is useful. Remembering when you actually went, what you thought, and the photos you took makes it personal. Visit History is PTK’s private timeline of real outings.

How Visit History & Diary works

Record the actual visit

Log a visit manually or start from Where I Am Now when you are at a place. Record the place and visit date, add notes, and attach photos to remember what happened.

Find old experiences

Browse a chronological visit timeline, search visits, and return to past moments. On This Day surfaces visits from the same calendar date in earlier years so old memories are not buried.

Connect visits and meetups

Accepted Meet Up plans can lead to a private next-day “How was the meet-up?” prompt. Answering Great or It was ok records the visit; Didn’t go does not. Visit logging is distinct from merely adding a plan to Agenda.

REAL-WORLD EXAMPLE

Remembering a favorite restaurant from last year

An illustrative visit-memory sequence. Your private entries are not used as public examples.

  1. Log the restaurant with the actual visit date, notes and photos

  2. Browse Visit History later or search the timeline

  3. On This Day can bring that memory back on its anniversary

A planned outing starts in Agenda or Meet Up. Record the experience here only once you have actually gone.

Get started in PTK

  1. Open My Places and go to Visit History.
  2. Log a visit or use Where I Am Now to identify where you are.
  3. Add a date, notes and photos; revisit the memory later with On This Day.

Your personal visit history is not published to Google or displayed to search visitors.

Common questions

Can I remember restaurants I visited years ago?

Visit History lets you manually record a visit date, notes and photos. On This Day can bring back recorded visits from the same date in a previous year.

If I add a restaurant to Agenda, does that mean I visited?

No. Agenda is for plans. Visit History records actual visits. You can log one separately, including after a meetup.
